Questions Regarding Nomination for Medique or Edwards Award
1. Who
is eligible for nomination of the Textilease Medique or
Edwards Award?
An Occupational Health Nurse who works full-time or
part-time, including retirees.
2. Who
is eligible to submit the name of an OHN for the Medique or
Edwards Award?
Anyone including the OHN can submit his or her bibliography
for nomination. Each bibliography must have a letter
of nomination and 2 letters of support for the nominee.
3. What
if the OHN has won one of the awards previously? Can
the OHN be nominated again?
Previous winners of either award are eligible for nomination
of the award that they have not already received.
4. How
long is the bibliography held before it needs to be updated?
The bibliography for nomination is held for the current
year, plus two years. After 3 years an updated
bibliography must be resubmitted to remain a nominee.
5. Can
the nominee be nominated for both the Medique and Edwards
Award?
The nominee may be nominated for both awards, however, when
the Board Member votes, they cannot vote for the nominee to
win both awards.
6. Is a
separate bibliography needed for the Medique and the Edwards
Award?
For each award, the nomination must be on the Medique or the
Edwards form. The letters of nomination and support
should also refer to the individual vendor name.
7. When
are the completed bibliographies due to the Board Members
for voting and how many copies are needed?
The completed bibliographies are due to the Chapter Board
Member no later than April 1st. Seventeen (17) copies
are needed of each bibliography.
